Youth Exchange: “I feel free-Creative legality”

Aims to promote culture of legality as element of growth, development and cohesion within European Youth. Criminal acts are always more an international issue and many of them are involving young people, in particular in urban contexts. Sicilian civil society has developed tools and experiences to promote and disseminate culture of legality and the role of young people to counter criminality. The aim of the project is a reflection about the meaning of legality and criminality, through visiting places related to mafia and antimafia (such as goods confiscated to mafia) and organize some creative workshops on legality. Participants will be involved by means of both non formal and peer-to-peer education methodologies, in a exchange and learning process which will also be addressed to the local community, whose engagement will be stimulated by artistic performances. The workshops will allow the creation of an European space where participants will share the values of justice, solidarity, responsibility and citizenship. Moreover participants will learn how to develop legality, social inclusion and civil participation. During the exchange we will organize workshops, where participants will compare experiences of different kinds of criminality that they can observe in their own country. They will develop  new ideas for a better coexistence based on the culture of legality and will learn how to put into practice their ideas. Every group should have at least one participant with fewer opportunities. The project will take place in Sicily, in a location that will host people in shared rooms. The project will last 12 days, overlapping with Catholic Easter (5 April) and will involve 5 countries. Each partner has to send 5 participants plus one leader. No participation fee, total coverage of local costs. Travel reimbursed according to Erasmus Plus table on km distance To apply as partner, send an email with subject CREATIVE LEGALITY to
