The Euroguidance Centre is announcing the following two activities in November 2012, which are being organised by Euroguidance Malta in collaboration with the Student Services Department within the Directorate for Educational Services and the Malta Career Guidance Association.
Training Activity on Family Influence
A training activity for career guidance practitioners is being organised with the aim to bring guidance practitioners together to discuss and share ideas on the topic of “Career guidance and family influences: How can career guidance practitioners engage parents/carers in the career guidance process?” The training event, to be held at EUPA premises in Santa Venera, shall be held on Thursday 22nd November between 9am and 4.30pm. Key note speaker shall be Ms. Anne Chant, Senior Lecturer at the Canterbury Christ Church University.
Annual Conference on Professionalisation
Furthermore, the Euroguidance Malta annual conference for 2012 shall be held on Monday, 26th November 2012 between 8.30am and 2pm at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi in St. Julian’s and shall be focusing on “Professionalisation and Career Guidance in Malta and the EU”. The keynote speaker shall be Ms. Lyn Barham, Fellow of the National Institute for Career Education and Counselling (NICEC).
The target audience for both activities is career guidance practitioners, career advisors and other stakeholders in the field of career guidance, who are all invited to register by sending an email with name and occupation to firstname.lastname@example.org. Booking is free of charge and will be on a first come first serve basis (limited places available). Deadline for booking is Friday 16th November noon for the training and Thursday 22nd November 2012 noon for the conference.
