Launched in January 2015, the School Education Gateway website attracted almost 50,000 visitors in its first two months. The website helps teachers and other education stakeholders stay informed about European actions for schools.
The School Education Gateway provides a single online point of entry for teachers, schools, experts and other people involved in school-level education.
The users can access news on topical issues in school education, find out about good practices of successful European projects, browse through collections of publications and read articles written by recognised school education experts.
These are just some of the features available on the School Education Gateway. Within the first two months of its operation, there are over 3,300 registered users.
The website also features three specialised tools to help schools and teachers take full advantage of Erasmus+ funding opportunities:
As of 31 March, the Erasmus+ tools are available in 23 languages, as is the rest of the website.
The School Education Gateway is funded by Erasmus+, the European programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport.
It is operated by European Schoolnet, a pan-European partnership of 31 education ministries, on behalf of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education and Culture (Unit B.2 – Schools and Educators; Multilingualism).
