4-5 June 2014: G7 summit
- Today and tomorrow, the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission (G7 leaders) are meeting for the first time in Brussels, Belgium in the G7 summit. G7 leaders will discuss foreign policy issues, and in particular the situation in Ukraine and the relations with Russia, as well as the global economy and trade, energy, climate change and development.
- The European Union is a full member of the G8 (and the G20) and is jointly represented by the European Council President and the European Commission President.
A pre-Summit press conference ahead of the G7 Summit will take place today at 15:00 CET, it will be webcast live here.
