This centre is set up by an initiative of the Youth Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Lithuanian Youth Council (LiJOT).
The establishment of the youth information and counselling structure has been initiated in 2011 by the Lithuanian Youth Council, with the support of Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry for Social Security and Labour.
“Our road to the start of the youth information had not been possible without the help and expertise of our partners – European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA) and national coordinators of youth information in Austria, Estonia, Finland, France and Germany”, said Evaldas Rupkus, LiJOT’s coordinator of Eurodesk Lithuania. The Eurodesk network has been the starting point for the Lithuanian generalist youth information and counselling with its channels and resources. LiJOT has been coordinating the Eurodesk programme in Lithuania for 10 years.
